I was seeing my students struggle with working independently (even with the step by step instructions) to figure out how to properly find images using the proper labels, download them to upload into Code.org and then include the proper citation for the image. I combined some of the Code.org resources from the Activity in module 1 with some other work in a HyperDoc to use the next time I teach this unit. I hope other teachers can use this if their students are struggling as well.
I am only seeing this: “We’re sorry. This document is not published.” I am interested to see the HyperDoc you produced. Could you try reposting this resource. Thanks.
Let’s try the link here, fingers crossed it works this time!
Jennifer,
The link works! Thanks for sharing.

Jennifer,
Thank you so much for this hyperdoc! I worked through this lesson the other day (which is what I do before I assign to kids), and I thought it might be challenging. I’m going to use your hyperdoc to help clarify.
This was fantastic. I modified mine slightly. I demonstrated the first site and broke kids into groups of 3 and each group had to formulate a step by step algorithm for finding images by license type for the site they were assigned. Then, for homework they had to choose one (but not the one they did in their group) and do the same thing–this time creating the algorithm AND adding a picture and proper credit and links.Internet Searches by License Type Quiz Grade assignment.docx (879.5 KB)
This is really great, but the video on top does not seem to work. Is it something you made and can share with me, or is it a generic creative commons video?
It seems to work on my end - here’s a link to try from this post:
I love this! Thank you for sharing. It is perfect for introducing intellectual property with writing sequential steps.
Thank you so much for this. I’m hoping to use it next week but I think it will be very useful to help my students understand this process.
Just wanted to say that it was so helpful! Thanks again
Is there an answer key to how you want the page to look?
