I added these three things to our discussion about intellectual property for the warm up and it ended up being a discussion that took the whole hour! It is an important discussion that kids today REALLY need to have!

Disney and how seriously they take Intellectual Property (article from Jan 2019)

Cease and Desist letter regarding Marvel “look a-likes” used in merchandise. Its from a fan site, but it does show the letter and images of the merch.

I also showed the trailer from the movie “Yesterday” - is it intellectual property if no one knows?

@kseip Good information! Thanks for sharing. I found one a year or so ago about Taylor Swift giving credit to Right Said Fred for a riff she borrowed from his song. I like showing the examples of people following the rules as well as some of the ones who don’t.
