AI Teaching Assistant - Can I disable it?

I am getting fed up with the AI assistant.

I can see how some would see it as a useful tool, especially if you are not a programmer or not familiar with what to look for in a rubric.

I am sick of it popping up whenever it feels like it and it randomly activates itself to wash out the color of the blocks. I feel like it isn’t useful to me, and it just created a few more buttons to my daily routine so I can skip it.

Is there a way I can just, turn it off? I don’t need it and don’t want it.

I understand AI is cool, but I don’t need it grading 7th grade programming skills.

Hi there,

Yes you can disable the AI Teaching Assistant. If you go to the Class Data tab and then scroll down, there is a toggle for Use AI features.

Hi! I’m not sure what you mean by the Class Data tab, can you tell me how to get there? I’m in the Class Settings and not seeing anything with the word Data on it, lol

I have a similar issue - I remember I clicked that button, but the chatbot still shows up. I want to remove it entirely.

If you go to your account settings under your name in the top right. Scroll all the way to the bottom, there’s a toggle to turn off AI teaching assistant.
