Assets in Java Lab

Hi there,

My student is having an issue with the assets in Unit 4: Lesson 11. He uploaded way too many files on accident, which seems to have caused the storage to overflow. Java Lab is not letting him upload any files at all, every time he tries to upload something, it confirms that the “file has been uploaded” though when he closes the manage assets window and reopens it, the file disappears. He also tried pulling the files, to which a filenotfound error occurs, insinuating that file did not get properly uploaded.

His project: Abstract Data Art Project #1 | Conditions and Logic - Code.org

Thanks in advance, Geovanni S.

@GeovanniS - Thanks for posting your question. Did your student try removing the files or starting over? I will send this information to the support department at Code.org. You can also email them in the future if you find bugs or missing information - support@Code.org.

Thanks for the reply, @sylvia.wood

No I did not, since there was atleast 100 files uploaded, I decided that it wouldn’t be a good idea.

Though despite that, he told me that he tried and noticed that the files kept getting replaced by the other files that did not get properly uploaded.

As a last ditch effort, I also had him revert the version history, which did not get rid of the assets either.

I have sent an inquiry to Code.org regarding this issue. I will follow up with the additional information you have sent me. Has he tried recreating his program in the Sandbox lesson for the unit - Lessons 16 - 18? Hoping that might help solve some of the problems he is having.

Yes, the sandboxes with no assets uploaded to them are perfectly fine, its just the specific lessons that he uploaded the assets to.

Thank you for taking your time and helping out.
