CSD accommodations for special needs student in mixed skill/mixed grade class

I have a special needs student who almost always needs one-on-one support (but doesn’t always want peer help). What options along with paired programming are there to include him in the class while we are coding?

Welcome to the forum! There are several different things that are already built in that will help accommodate the various levels in your classroom. The coding lessons are designed as a sort of zero-entry exploration, then skill building, practice, assessment, then challenge levels. Any levels can be completed as a group, as pair programming, or as individuals. Some students will go all the way through to the challenge levels, where other students may top out within the skill building levels. One of the other things I’ve done for my own classes is to print out some of the Tips & Tricks pages so students who need them have tangible help without having to flip from tab to tab. I’m also interested to hear what other people do in their classes to help students who need it.
