Level status not correct in HTML

Good afternoon,

I’m working on HTML with my Grade 6 students and I have more than one class, so a lot of students. When I go in to review their work levels that are incomplete are showing solid green. According to the Level Status (see screenshot) levels that need review should be marked with a red dot, but instead they show as completed.

In most cases in this course students click on Finish when they’re done with a level, and I have several students who are doing that without doing any work, or when the level is still incomplete. I sent this to Code.org as well, but is anyone able to help me with this? I regularly click into their work but I have so many students and it isn’t feasible for me to click into every single level in a lesson.

Thank you!
Sally

I’m interested to see what Code says about this, but in the mean time, this article may be helpful.

Not sure if this will answer your question, but I find that some of my students hit finish without actually doing the work too. What I’ve learned to do is just check the assessment bubble. If they bomb that it usually gives me a clue that they probably just hit finish on the previous steps. I then go back to those bubbles (mostly just the practice one) just for those students and if there’s evidence of no attempts on those I hit the “keep working” box. I almost always have to follow up with those students since they’re prob not checking the teacher feedback either. Usually they get better after two rounds or so of this. If a student did well on the assess, I don’t check whether they actually did the previous bubbles.
