Looking at the micro:bit code blocks in Unit 6B of CS Discoveries, I do not see any for sound either (unless I am missing them). There are code blocks in MakeCode for Micro:bit for sound (frequency and volume). That curriculum is much more project based vs CS Discoveries being more structured lessons (which I like;). Might be worth exploring if it interests you.
