With SDC students, breaking the main points that will allow the students to accomplish the main goals of the projects may be necessary. Having a discussion with their SDC teacher and looking at their goals for the year is a place to start. Modify the project to accomplish the major point of the project, but also trying to mimic their language arts goals.
I love the idea of trying to work with the intervention specialist in order to support the language arts goal. This is a great project for cross-curricular work!
SPED students who struggle in other academic subjects are experiencing new levels of success through the CS Discoveries curriculum; many of our students were excited by coding an image into their project this past week. Hooray!
