I have a couple of enrichment classes that have students of WIDELY differing coding skills… I would like to be able to have multiple assignments active at one time so that the students who are “basic” or “no-experience” can work at their level while the more experienced or expert coders can work at their’s.
I see some ideas on the “similar topics” list that I can try as “workarounds”, but my basic question is “can I have a section that has multiple assignments for students to choose from?” Thank you!
I’m not sure if you are working in CSD or CSP but this answer should apply to them both.
When you assign one unit all the units get assigned. You would need to go and hide the lessons of units you don’t want students to see. So, if I understand what you would like to do, I don’t think that will work for you since you may need to hide for one group of students but not the other group.
If it were me, I would create an assignment list of links in my LMS (wherever kids go to see the class assignments) and link to the lessons they should complete. For example:
FYI:After students finish one level in any unit/lesson, it will permanently appear on their (Code.org) dashboard homepage for easy access going forward, regardless of whether or not it is assigned.
I hope this answers your question based on what you are trying to do. I did take parts of this from a few different posts in the forum so you may have seen similar responses elsewhere.
