I want my students to create a start/direction screen to begin their game in lesson 28. We are having trouble getting it to work. I want them to do something like “You will use arrow keys to move player, press enter to start the game.” They have sprites on their start screen. They have tried making the sprite invisible but it is not working.

I require start screens as well! Searching the forum can usually give you some decent resources and solutions. I usually refer folks to this post where I posted the template I use when I teach students how to do a start screen. Perhaps that will work for you. If not, can you share a project of your students with a link so we can better figure out exactly why your students’ projects are not working?
