My goal for teaching coding using Hour of Code and Code.org lessons is to get students excited about computer science. The skills they learn as they work through the puzzles benefit them in other areas of their academics.

I utilized this on a weekly basis with my K-5 students as part of their STEM curriculum. It was a learning process for all as I learned new modules and the students participated in the lessons, I was able to figure out things that worked well and things that I needed to change in my teaching. I feel very supported by the information that code.org and the continued training opportunities that are offered.
