Unit 5 and Unit 6 Concurrent

Two weeks into the Data Unit, my students seemed to be suffering from “Seat Exhaustion.” The phenomena that occurs from sitting in one place for the duration of a 90 minute block. So on week three, I started splitting the blocks in half, with the first half devoted to students working on the collection, analysis and presentation of their findings; and the second half engaged in the robotics unit. This worked out very well and I plan to incorporate some sort of active learning component in the future during the Data Unit.
