To help teach the concept of coding color and RGB, CSS class, and graphic art, I use the Chrome Extension, ColorPick Eyedropper.

ColorPick Eyedropper

It allows you to sample a color on the screen and see the hexadecimal, RGB, or HSL code for the color.

It is awesome for color matching on a computer screen!

This is a great resource. I also have students do a google search for “RGB color picker” which brings up a very nice widget from Google where students can look at different colors and then see the different numeric values such as RGB and Hex.
