I am using the Artist loop Stage 7 to have the students show what they learned. I am asking them to first create anything they want and then explain how they created the design. Then I gave them a task : Create a square (looping it of course) Then they had to create something using only squares.As many squares as you want. Loop squares-rotate between squares, etc. Some created faces. Others created beautiful designs in different colors. One even realized you could make a circle using only squares. I then had them create a picture using only triangles, v’s, and diamonds.
Has any one else done something similar or can share some ideas using what students learn during the artist stages?
