Help Unlocking Submitted Check for Understanding Levels

I am using the Computing Foundations for a Digital Age: Indiana (AI Foundations) course. I cannot figure out how to unlock a student’s submission on a Check for Understanding written response level, (e.g. Code.org) Unit 1 Lesson 8 Level 9. A couple of times I have had students press submit too early and then not be able to un-submit. I have looked everywhere I can think of to un lock this or give feedback like “keep working” but I am unable to find it. All I can do is click the “see student response” button on that level. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @mdsanders,

Great question! I tried a bunch of ways from my account, and I cannot find a way to unlock this for students, either.

Are you trying to use this as an exit ticket for students? If you’re not concerned with everything being in the Code.org ecosystem, I’d recommend having students write these responses in their journal or a digital doc instead.

I’ll turn this post into a feature request so the devs know this is something you’re interested in being able to do.

Link to the level for the help desk and anyone else reading this post: Code.org

Thank you!

Hi Michael.

Thanks for the response. I use them as an assessment so I will put them on Canvas. Thanks for submitting the feature request!

Thank you. I am having the same issue. Students are answering the check your understanding questions and looking back to make sure they understood correctly, but cannot get back in to answer the question. It is very frustrating that I cannot reopen that.

Thank you for the feedback. I checked with the Product team & they are aware that this is a request from more than one or two people. They do not have immediate plans to roll out any changes but are monitoring the feedback.

Same issue. I put the CYU questions on the Unit guilde below the QoD, except when I left them out because they were a reiteration of an activity question and the QoD - no need to answer the same question 3 times lol.
