Meet and Greet (CS in Science)

Hi I’m Bill. Welcome!

My name is Bill and I have been teaching for 28 years. I teach many things and will be teaching a coding class next year in my middle school. I am looking forward to learning here.

Hi, I’m Lauren
I have been teaching middle school for 20 years. Looking forward to bringing new ideas to our curriculum.

Hi, my name is Anne Skurnick and I just finished my 12th year at Pines Middle School in Pembroke Pines, FL. I’ve taught 6th grade Earth Space science for 11 years, this year I taught 8th grade physical science.

I have 15 years of IT experience before finishing my BA in Education. I’m considered to be the lead technology teacher at school so this is right in line with my background.

Yay! Another Broward County teacher! I’m at Pines Middle in Pembroke Pines.

Hello Pembroke Pines from Crystal Lake Middle School. I’ve been teaching for 13 years with the past six years in 6th grade science.

My name is Sue Stone, and I have been teaching grades 6-8 math/science for 12 years in Flagler County, Florida. My experience with coding is limited, although being in a 1:1 district, I am excited to become more familiar with it. I like the idea of learning how to integrate it into the standards that we already teach.

Hello! I am Jessica Coker and I have been teaching middle school science for 11 years in Broward County, with the majority of my teaching career in 6th grade Earth-Space Science. I have very little experience with coding except for watching them participate in the Hour of Code during Homeroom via the school’s television network. I hope that this course will allow me to be more interactive with my students while they are coding. : )
