Hi all. Has anyone taught Unit 2 in CSD and skipped tghe Flexbox lessons? I found Flexbox to be very tedious and somewhat confusing for students last year, and I would like to spend more time on Unit 7 AI/Machine Learning later this year. Thoughts??
I’ve heard other people say they skipped the Flexbox lessons & had no other issues with the unit. I know younger students sometimes struggle with the concepts in that lesson. The only thing you would need to do would modify the rubrics that go with the projects at the end of the chapters. That’s the nice thing about this curriculum… you can modify the content as it fits your program.

I have never been able to get to the Flexbox lessons since they have been added. I rarely have time to get to the classes/pseudo-class lessons. I have been teaching the curriculum for almost a decade, and these lessons have only been recently added. You can skip them and your students will still make great websites. I just have my more advanced students do the lessons themselves while they make their final projects to add a little more pizzazz to their work.
