Welcome to Code.org! We are thrilled you have joined our community

Hi I’m Danika. I currently teach primary school (year 2). I am excited to learn how to teach this an engaging way.

My name is Kelly A. I work in Special Education 9-12, I teach reading and social-emotional learning. I am excited to bring an hour of code to our program,

Hola!

My name is Elena and I’m a maths teacher in a secondary school in Seville, in the South of Spain. My students are from 12 to 18 years old. I would like to start teaching computational thinking and I think this is the one of the best place. I am really excited about Code.org because is going to be a good way to learn how to do interesting activities at school.

Best.

Elena

Greetings! My name is Suzy Palmer and I mainly teach 7th and 8th graders, but I also have one high school class. I am currently teaching middle school computers, but if I can get my endorsement I would like to also teach the required high school computer science class using code.org curriculum. What excites me most is learning. That’s it! I love learning and code.org offers me the opportunity to learn about the future.

My name is Aleksandra Brmbota, and I teach at a small high school on one of the beautiful islands in the Adriatic Sea, Croatia.
I teach students from grades 9 through 12 (the four years of high school).
This year, I’ll be teaching Mathematics and Computer Science to general high school students, as well as Business Mathematics and Computing to hospitality students.
I’m excited to join the Code.org community to share ideas and teaching materials, and to explore creative ways to make mathematics more engaging, meaningful, and connected to the real world for my students.

Hi Everyone! I am Gerard Buckley I am the principal of my high school and a first year AP Computer Science Principles teacher. I look forward to guidance and connection with this group.

My name is Lisa Kuthe. I am a tech teacher for second graders in my school. I will be working with code.org and Bee Bots to teach coding this year. I am most excited to see how my students react to learning coding and what they are able to createl

Hi, my name is Rachel Connolly and I am a research scientist at the MIT Media Lab where I work with NASA and other research groups on their STEM education efforts. I taught high school AP physics and astronomy in NYC for years and was an education manager at the American Museum of Natural History and for NOVA/PBS. My name is Giitha. I teach 7th grade level. Before choosing a curriculum, I will study many topics first. After that, I will determine the topics that are suitable for my students. But I will definitely use code.org because it is very interesting and challenging for both students and teachers. many of the curricula or topics offered are very interesting

Hi, I am Floor Goedemondt and a teacher of 10-12 grade highshool students in the Netherlands on math and computer science. I was looking for content on teaching our students how to use GenAI properly and teach them about the risks. I think I found it on code.org! Thanks!

  • I am excited about the ability to have structured and easily followed lessons for my Web Design Classes.

Dzień dobry, Jestem Krzysztof. Uczę informatyki w Liceum klas 1-3 na poziomie podstawowym. Cieszę się, że studio code umożliwi mi naukę w prosty sposób. Pozdrawiam z Polski

HEY YALL! I’m Faith, I teach 4th grade science and history but in Indiana we test in science. I use mystery science but have realized they need a heavier push in computer science so I’m sliding this way. I’m excited for the basic lessons that I can introduce to my kids so they actually know what to do when they hit the 504 message lol.

Hello everyone,

My name is Omer and I am a faculty member in a university in Türkiye. I work in the Faculty of Education, mainly with pre-service teachers, and I am very interested in integrating computer science and computational thinking into teacher training.

I joined the Code.org community to explore how I can use these resources both with my own university students and, indirectly, with K–12 learners through them. I am especially interested in examples of how other educators introduce programming concepts to beginners and how they scaffold activities for students who have little or no prior experience.

I am happy to be here and looking forward to learning from all of you and sharing ideas.

I teach 2nd and only have 10 students this year.

I will start with Course B and then go into Course C. I have all of first semester to work on this curriculum and plan to use it 2 times a week for approximately 90ish minutes weekly.

I am excited to support my rural students with a new path of learning. These materials are awesome. I took a class in 2021 but never fully utilized the program as I was teaching kindergarten at the time. I am excited to discover and learn myself.

Hello, I’m Ei and very excited to join this community. Now, I am teaching G-10 and G- 11. I have a plan to teach upper level students this year. I’m glad to join Code.org because of giant supporter to the future stars and very excited to be a teacher in your community. Thanks in advance.

Hi, my name is Megan and I’m looking forward to using Code.org in my classroom. I teach STEM as a special, grades K-6.

My name is Michael Thompson and I teach 7-8 Science at our school. I am teaching a connections class next semester on typing, coding, and STEM, so I am going to use Code.org as part of the coding section. I am not sure which curriculum I am going to use yet with my class as I may let them pick what they want to use for the coding portion of the class. I have used Code.org at a previous school and really enjoyed the ease of use with it.

Beth Dolnicek here giving direct instruction to grades 2-8, but I am the PreK-12 school librarian as well. We will be doing the Express Course in grade 6. I struggle with code (I took programming classes in HS millions of years ago & struggled with it then) so I am most excited about not having to know all the answers when kids get stuck in the coding labs. There are answers there to help me. Then I can help the kids reason through the challenge so they are able to apply that in their “coding life”.
