Iām Jeff Ball and Iāve been teaching for about 6 years. Iāve served in many roles at several schools and Iām currently at SWCTA. I never thought Iād be a teacher. I actually went to school for Art and worked in design for a number of years along with several completely unrelated jobs. My background is quite varied and I feel that my āreal worldā knowledge and approach helps students see the relevance in what theyāre doing as well as giving a different perspective on what weāre learning helps them the most. Iām looking forward to diving deeper into CS and learning along side students to help solve problems and come up with genuine solutions to real world problems.

My name is Ruth Page and I have been teaching for eleven years. I began teaching technology, business, and computer science classes at Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina. I then spent six years at the same school teaching Digital Media, combining audio, video, animation, graphics, and web design together into a series of classes. I moved to Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, Georgia in the fall of 2014, where I taught Intro to Business and Technology, Banking and Investing, and Intro to Digital Technology, using ECS for the first time. Next year I will be teaching IDT and AP Computer Science at Mill Creek.
In my spare time (ha ha) I spend as much time as I can with my 12-year-old son, 21-month-old daughter, and wonderfully patient husband, undertake gardening and home improvement projects, read anything, play my piano, coach track and field, and aspire to run regularly.
Hello! My name is Autumn Sutton and I am entering my 5th year as a teacher at Duluth High School, just outside of Atlanta, GA. I am a career switcher, so my professional background has enabled me to teach Language Arts, Newspaper, Audio/Video, Tech & Film, Marketing Principles and now Intro to Digital Technology. In my AVTF classes, in addition to non-linear editing, my students learn graphic design, animation and audio mixing. I am pursuing an EDS in Instructional Technology, so I am constantly learning about new tools to use in the classroom. It helps to see things from a studentās perspective again⦠I think it has made me a better teacher.
I am a new mommy (my daughter is 6 months old), so my hobbies now include late night feedings, bottle washing, diaper changing and making silly faces! Prior to becoming a wife and mother, I was into dancing, basketball, spin class and hiking.

Hi! I am Leah dee. I have taught for 12 years as a Math teacher, everything from Algebra to AP Calculus. I have a background in computer science from college and from about 15 years working in the industry doing everything from coding, program design, quality assurance, pre-sales and supervision. I have worked for a big company and as a contractor. Two years ago I started AP Computer Science in my school, last year I added Computer Science Principles, and this year I will give up my AP Calculus classes to add ECS to my repertoire because I believe in computer science and itās major relevance to the world around us. It is one of the best topics to engage students in problem solving and provide some real world relevance to the technology that is around them.
For fun I like to solve puzzles, soduku and other mind involving ideas, and just figure out how to do things. I enjoy reading, but have reverted to technology to read through CDās in the car (I am now engaged in the car and can just rewind if my mind wanders and I miss something that is crucial).

I have been teaching CS for 28 years. I started teaching CS, math, language Arts and multicultural projects at a small K-8 Quaker School outside of Philadelphia. It was a fabulous opportunity to learn how to teach with what I still consider some of the best teachers I have ever worked with. I taught CS K-8, wrote the entire Computer Curriculum for accreditation at a Jewish Day school in Atlanta for one year. My last stop has been public school for the last 17 years. I currently teach CS 6-8 and ECS as an Introduction to Digitak Technology class to 8th grade as a Carnegie Unit class for HS credit. Next year I will teach two sections of IDT. I am also been the Program Specialist for Middle School Business Computer Science for Gwinnett County Public Schools and the FBLA adviser,
My love of technology started when my step fathers colleagues at Xerox in LA gave me an Apple IIe built out from parts they gathered from parts in their trash bin. It was amazing to be and the hardware drove my curiosity to understand the software. I also enjoy photography, travel, and Southwest American Indian Art.
Hi my Name is Dennis Littlefield I teach in Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. Iām just finishing my 17th year in teaching. In a previous life I was in the Air Force for 21 years. I started by teaching US History to 7th graders followed by Teaching Behavior Modification at South Continuation MS/HS Where kids were sent after being expelled from their home school. I then went on to The Academy for Individualized Study where I was the Educational Computer Strategist for 5 years I then moved to my current assignment at Jeffery Behavioral Jr/Sr High School. where I spend one period a day working on Computers and teaching Computers to 6-12th graders for the rest of the day. I find it very hard to keep their attention and to over come their anger at the system I hope that learning Into to Computer Science will give me more ways to capture their attention and get them to focus on their futures.
In my spare time I like reading, camping and riding My ATV with my wife and Grandchildren. .

Hello all!! My name is Rona Williams. I am excited to teach CS this year. I taught IBT & IDT (Intro to Business & Digital Technology) last year and incorporated a little of CS throughout the year. I know I will take away from this class a lot of interesting and intriguing tools. What I love to do in my free time (and my not so free time) is listen to music, travel, read, and bargain shop!!!
Greetings all! My name is Moriah and I this will be my second year of teaching high school math - the first couple of years post-grad school were spent teaching math (ranging from remedial algebra to business calculus) at the community college level. I recently accepted a math teaching position at a brand new STEM school in northeast Ohio and will be teaching ECS this year. I always wished in college that I had taken more than the one C++ course and had more exposure with CS in general - now I get to learn, too!
My hobbies (while new teacher workload doesnāt afford much time here) include reading, playing board and card games with friends, volunteering with my church, helping out with my parentsā florist business, crafting/drawing/painting/sewing/hand-lettering, and exploring the areas I live in. Looking forward to the coming year with all its challenges!
